Everyone needs a hero.
That’s what Detective Molly Masters tells me. “What we need,” she says, “what the whole world needs,” she pleads, “is a champion.”
The only thing I want to talk about with Molly Masters is how I’d like to make her scream my name when I push her up against a wall, slide my hand up her thigh, and live out my wildest fantasies.
“Someone who will fight against injustice,” she says.
I’ll fight against anything you want, honey. Just come a little closer.
“Someone who will stand tall in the face of adversity,” she says.
I’ll do it standing, sitting, or lying down. See how easy I am?
“Someone who believes in the value of a good deed,” she says.
I believe in the value of me, sweetheart. Because I’m Lincoln Wade. Jaded genius, obscenely wealthy, capable of violence, and looking for revenge.
Molly Masters might have delusions of grandeur. She might see me as some superman capable of cleaning up the scum, filth, and corruption in Cathedral City.
But I’m not the hero she’s looking for.
I’m the dark alley where all her good intentions hide.
So be careful what you wish for, Molly Masters.
Because you’re about to get it.
This!! This is so different to anything I’ve ever read. It’s whipped me out if my comfort zone and spun me the hek around. I was enthralled from word one. J A has a remarkable talent, no question.
Sci-fi, hero, villain, erotica collide in this addictive story. Lincoln is an Alpha to Molly’s Omega. Don’t know what I’m talking about, yeah it’s an interesting story. Molly is a strong independent career driven woman, a detective to boot, who comes from a world she’s completely oblivious to, an evil world. You know, you can just feel there’s history and the collision of past and present is executed brilliantly. .
Lincoln, hell bent on revenge on a “world” created by evil, is the master scientist. His ability to manipulate processes that defy human nature are astounding. He defied the evil that “created” him and now he’s set on brining it down.
The chemistry between Lincoln and Molly is evident from the start, when they’re used against each other it’s their spark that fuels their battle but also guides them to the end.
We can’t forget Sheila, this motherly program is such an important part of the story, she’s moody, protective, brilliant and perceptive and a touch bit invasive. She definitely contributes to the over all brilliance of the story.
I can’t not stress how much I loved this book. It is so different to anything Iv ever personally read, it blew me away.
