Charm is the key to the world.

Charisma, magnetism, sex appeal—that ‘it’ factor that can’t be described.

Nolan Delany has it is spades.

The infamous Mr. Romantic.

And maybe he is out of my league… But I’m going to give it the old college try anyway. Because I didn’t travel two thousand miles for a job interview at his request just to be put out like trash.

Don’t underestimate me, Mr. Delaney.

I’m really not as innocent as I look.

Firstly this book contains fantasy. Rape fantasy, for some this will be a “hard limit” for their reading likes. However, the fantasy and explanation is done well, and it definitely didn’t bother me. In true JA style her writing abilities shine with such a unique story.

Right off the bat Mr romantic had me intrigued. I had been warned that this was not a romantic comedy like Mr Perfect. For a second albeit split I though hang on is this Mr Mysterious. The whole man in the limo had me formulating in my head, what was going to play out in Mr Romantic and how. The intrigue really set in after the introduction of Claudette. Isn’t she a grade A b*^ch.

“I don’t care for Claudette Delaney. She’s got the makings of a spectacular bi*^h.”

“Want the job?”
“Iv already explained the situation Miss Rockwell. You’re not getting the job. You’re here as a favour and nothing more. You’ll be sent home after the meeting tonight.”
“But until that happens I’m going to to do my best to show that I’m worthy of the position. That I have things to contribute. And that I might just have an opinion that could help this resort”
“It’s two o’clock, the meeting is at six. We’ll finish up by eight. You’ll be on the jet by nine. Don’t get to comfortable.”

Nolan is arrogant cocky crude and rough. But he likes it rough doesn’t he. He is very antihero. I didn’t like him much to begin with but then he shows us more, a side he doesn’t let many people see. He has a vulnerability about him that doesn’t show often but when it does your heart breaks and swoons just a little more for him.
Ivy is so timid and naive, it’s almost sickening how much so. I like the back bone she grows and how she decides to try and take charge.
Their chemistry feels premeditated but that comes from Ivy’s original intentions. You know the second that goes out the window. The ups and downs of this story help give it an edge that isn’t at all dark but it’s not soft and fluffy. There’s a harshness to this story but it’s them, it’s Nolan and Ivy and it works amazingly well.

“I’ve thought about a lot about what he said last weekend. A lot. How he explained it. How he drew it all out. And it didn’t really looked that bad. In fact, when I break each picture down in my head, it’s not that weird. Lots of people like rough sex. I googled it. Lots of woman fantasies about being held down. Forced. Lots of men want to be the aggressor. And a rape fa easy is a way to do that in a safe way.”

I’m loving the connecting story of the Mister saga, it’s mysterious and consuming. While each book can be read as a stand alone it definitely benefits to read each book. How JA creates stand alones with an entwining story is brilliant. Mr Romantic is a thrilling pulse pounding story that has you gripping your reading device a little to hard and your face moving closer and closer to the screen like you can crawl into the pages and be consumed into the story. Quite simply it’s enthralling! I can not wait for the next instalment of the Mister series, Mr Corporate.
5 stars to Mr Romantic, though I wish the star system went higher because romantic deserves more then 5.
