Drew Forrester is a total adrenaline junkie.
His high of choice?
The faster, the better.
He’s been making waves in Maryland’s underground racing circuit since he crossed the state line, and after speaking with him, we know he’s not hitting the brakes anytime soon.
So what exactly does it take to burn rubber and make a name for yourself in a world where the only rule is there are no rules?
You gotta be hungry…
You gotta have balls…
And you can never back down.
What’ve we learned here at GearShark?
Drew is all of the above.
We also know he’s got some secrets buried under his hood.
Secrets we think are loaded with octane and just might set the world of cars on fire.

I am an avid m/m fan and #junkie doesn’t disappoint.
Drew and Trent because fast friends and best friends at that. Their instant connection is strong when they first met and over the time they both convince themselves it’s just friendship. The slow burn of their relationship is engaging and pulls you in so you’re with them all the way.
The exhilaration of speed, mixed with blossoming feelings makes for a heady mixture of fun and adventure.
The support of their compound family aka Romeo and co is heart warming. You just know it’s not going to be that easy with everyone though.
When Trent endures the ordeal and his mind goes into protecting Drew mode it breaks your heart to know what’s going on inside him. That sacrificing his happiness to protect the man he loves is bitter-sweet.

The other side of this story is Drew’s racing career taking a turn for the better. With the new division born Drew is able to follow his dream of racing. And with Trent by his side as his manager the boys spend a lot of time together in different capacities other than friendship.

Cambria made her mark with the # (hashtag) series. And gave us more of those characters with the #GearShark series. Fantastically written with witty and level headed characters.

5 junkie stars.

Trent Mask puts the REV in revolution.

A line has been drawn.

Indie vs Pro

Here at GearShark, we’re straddling that line to bring you exclusive coverage of what some have dubbed the war of racing.
Every war starts with a spark and ends in revolution.
Drew Forrester was the spark,
but his second-in-command is the REVolution.

What does it take to stand brave in the face of opposition?

resolve of steel…

Stubborn will…

And a heart that refuses to give up.

It isn’t just the drivers in this war.
The revolution is about more than just racing.
It’s about shattering labels and taking risks.

So we asked Trent Mask: Truth or Dare?

His answer?

Trent and Drew’s story continues in #Rev.
Their relationship grows as battles are won and their careers both take off.
Drew with his driving in the new division and Trent being Drew’s manager and employed by Gamble for his financial brain.
Ongoing rivalries become allied rivals and some continue to be hostile ones. Trent’s maturity in how he deals with bigots at the frat is commendable, the revenge dished out is calculated and created to make an impact.
Drew’s driving rivalry with Lorhaven becomes allied off the track as Arrow (Lorhaven’s brother) is bought into the story more and has more in common with Trent and Drew then just driving.
The support Drew and Trent give each other when faced with losing family over their relationship shows how deep and strong their love for each other is. How absolutely perfect they are for each other.
Learning why Trent is so good at internalising all his feelings is a sad story. But knowing he has so much support from the compound family aka Romeo Rimmel and co is heartwarming. And Drew’s dads reaction is both expected and shocking. I would like to know what happens there, if what his mum says his dad is doing/feeling is indeed true.
Watching these men grow in their relationship and careers was done perfectly, Rev and Junkie definitely compliment each other.
I’ve love both these books and they’re definitely some of the better m/m out there.

5 rumbling stars.
