The question was, who would get to me first?
This book has been one of the most anticipated book release iv ever known. And it didn’t let us down.
It captivated me from the very first chapter.
Julius and Alejandra’s relationship is full of everything we expect from Belle. As individuals they both go through a journey of self discovery. Alejandra is an amazingly strong woman, yet she is crying out to be loved. Whole heartedly love. What Belle puts this character through is at times a little beyond belief. But in the underworld. It would be realistic. I loved Alejandra’s character. Showing that yes she is strong, she knows how to play the game, but like most women, needs to be treated so much better.
Julius is a strong Alpha male. He knows what he wants and goes for it. Holding nothing back. His job at the judge and jury suits him. He is a man that knows his job and does it well, until he meets Alexjandra.
Now for my favourite b*tch character Ling. My dear Ling. A woman with awesome fashion sense, and attitude to suit. A woman who is used to getting any man she wants. Except for one. A man who isn’t interested in that with her. He loves her like a sister. A best friend. Nothing more. And she hates that. This brings Ling to make a choice. A very bad choice that only time will tell the outcome.
But what about Twitch. Did we get much of Twitch and Lexi in this story. Lexi we received a small amount of follow on information from Twitches ‘death’. My heart broke for her. I wanted to reach into my kindle and hug her. Twitch plays a big part of the book. Crossing over storylines with Twitch and the other characters was really well synced.
I gave this book 4 1/2 stars. I really wanted to give it 5 stars but the prologue. It stopped me. All I could think was ‘not again’. I need closure on this series. Belle has said this is coming and in a better time frame than waiting for Dirty. In saying that, I will wait for my closure. I know it’s coming. And I can only hope I get my HEA.
Having been brought up in a loud and boisterous family of Croatian descent, she developed a natural love for dramatics and humor. Only some years ago had she discovered a new love.
Humorous romance novels.
Kristen Ashley and R.L. Mathewson had opened a brand new world where she could lose herself yet feel safe and at home in their stories. Belle has been known to become a screeching banshee while anxiously awaiting their newest titles.
Belle never thought she would write. It had never interested her until recently. Friend-Zoned began to form and in February 2013 Belle typed the words Chapter One. And she fell in love.
Friend-Zoned is the first in the Friend-Zoned series. Keep an eye out for this cheeky author.
