Cursed Ever After

Cursed Ever After

I was given an ARC for an honest review.

I am in love with this first book in the Royal Gold Keepers series!  My first impression is that this book is a cross between The Giver and Avatar.  That would seem like a weird combination, but it absolutely works.

A brief synopsis of the book, before I get more into by review.  The Royal Gold Keepers must provide Goldarium to the city of Paradise Falls.  Goldarium is the most vital element to the civilization of the city.  The main characters, Elora and Callum, have been raised to be enemies since birth.  Their fathers disappear into the Neverworld and it’s up to the two of them to continue delivering Goldarium.  There is mystery, intrigue, and enemies who actually might be in love with one another.

Lacey Carter Anderson has crafted this amazing world.  Neverworld is full of magic and creatures.  I’m going to be honest.  It took me a bit to get into this book.  Once I did, I couldn’t stop reading.  I loved the trials and tribulations of the characters.   It was action packed throughout.   I loved the slow burn between Callum and Elora.  I simply  enjoyed this book.  I am going to start reading the second book immediately.  The mystery, magic, and characters make this book a must read.
